BURKE, SD – The Billie Sutton Leadership Institute announced today that the deadline for fellowship applications for a second class of Sutton Leaders has been extended to May 15th.
The Sutton Leadership Institute is making changes to ensure the health and safety of participants. The first major training event for the new class of leaders scheduled for June will now be conducted digitally. This allows the 2020 application deadline to be extended by two weeks.
In regard to public health concerns that prompted these changes, founder Billie Sutton said,
"The Sutton Leadership Institute is flexible, innovative, and ready to adapt to continue to train and empower next-generation leaders in these unprecedented times."

The Billie Sutton Leadership Institute is a free, year-long leadership development program for a selective class of young professionals, community leaders, local elected officials, and people interested in public service or getting more involved in their community. Sutton Leaders will gain the skills and confidence to build and carry out plans to make a difference in their communities with compassion and courage.
